Jack Phifer, W4RTW passed away February 8 2006 after a lengthily illness. Jack was an active ICARS member as well as a member of the FIST's club. W4RTW was an avid CW operator and DX'er. He was heard most every day on the repeater and also on the packet cluster.

Matthew O'Malley KF4AEW with wife Peggy, KF4AEV, passed away on October 5 2002
Robert Forsyth, KQ4O passed away July 19 2005. He was an active ICARS member, participating in all club events. Robert was ICARS Secretary for three years ending in 2002. He was active at this years Field Day exercise, as well as in past years, operating on 80m and 40m voice. Robert was a member of ARES. He has helped with the March of Dimes Walk America, numerous times. He also has worked the Balloon Rally when he could.
Dan Dishman, WB4WRV passed away August 5 2005. Dan was in one of the first Novice classes held and was a charter member of ICARS
John York WD4BDR Passed away on January 19 2003. He was a newspaper columnist for the Charlotte Observer and Statesville Record and Landmark. We could always count on John for a good write up in the paper come Field Day or other ICARS activity.
